Odds and Ends

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30th is the last day of the Scholastic Book Fair so be sure to bring your money if you havent purchased already.

Tomorrow, Friday, October 30th is also the Halloween festivities. Students may come dressed in their costumes but there is to be NO BLOOD, GUTS, OR GORE and NO WEAPONS (no fake weapons either). The parade will start at 2:00pm and the classroom festivities start following the parade.

Tomorrow is a busy day! It is also the Halloween Dance for grades 5-8 from 6pm-9pm. The cost is $3.00 IF YOU WEAR A COSTUME and $4.00 if you are dressed as a tweenie or a teenager :-)

Progress Reports came out so get those signatures and turn them back in to your homeroom teacher!

It is so hard to believe Sunday starts November already..

Reminders

Reminder: Tonight is the Back to School Night from 5pm-7pm.

Also, 6th grade: You have a Singular and Plural Noun Quiz tomorrow. Study your Spelling Quick Fix Machine on page 38 in your grammar book as well as your notes and classwork.

There is a spelling test for 7th grade tomorrow.

7th grade should also be keeping up with their writing tasks for their larger writing assignment. The larger assignment has been broken down into smaller tasks with due dates. Please make sure you are staying on top of those due dates. If you are diligently keeping up with these tasks, it will make your final product so much easier.

SCHOOL STORE- The school store will be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30am-8:00am and 2:45pm-3:20pm. Don't forget your money for the school store! We have a large selection of school supplies!

- You have a test TOMORROW in READING on "The Fish Story." You should do well as much as we have read and discussed the story.

7th grade

- Read to the end of "I Prove Myself a Hunter." Complete the Think It Through Quesitons on pg. 248 (1 question), pg. 250 (1 question), and pg. 251 (3 questions) for a total of 5 quesitons.

Be sure to bring in the Powder Puff Football registration in. The cost is $3.00 and it takes place on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 (YES, IN 2 DAYS) at 4pm. Remember that the proceeds go to support breast cancer. You can also wear your Go Pink! shirt or a plain pink tshirt on Friday. If you are not playing, it is a cost of $3.00 to wear your shirt.

Back to School Night is this Thursday (10/15/2009) from 5pm-7pm.

LEAP started today so if you registered for a class be sure to stay after school on the correct day!
