Homework for the weekend!

In Reading the students have to complete a slot diagram with notecards we completed in class. They have a large, orange piece of construction paper to complete this on. There are 4 cards titled Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, and Falling Action & Resolution.

Dragon's Pearl vocabulary
Drought- time of little or no rain
Scorched- burned on the surface
Craved-needed very badly
Flourished- grew very well; past tense of flourish
Pierced- touched deeply; pase tense of pierce.

For writing, we are supposed to be working on the rough draft. It is due on Monday, October 20, 2008. For those of you who are behind, please make sure that your ideas are complete, your task #2 worksheet is complete, and your rough draft is complete. You are given a week or more in between each task so that is plenty of time to keep up. If you do not complete something on time, you only add more work to your workload.

ROUGH DRAFT DUE MONDAY!

Assessments on multiplying, dividing, adding, and subtracting fractions is also on Monday! Bring in the spiral bound notecards on Monday.. they will be a HUGE help to you.

In Social Studies we are on Chapter 1 Section 4.

There is a Halloween dance tonight from 6pm-9pm. The cost is $5.00 but if you bring a chaperone it is only $4.00.

DSTP for 4th and 6th grade is next week. Please be respectful when in the hallways.

Have a great weekend!
