Welcome Back!!! 2008-2009 school year

Well as summer comes to a close, we are returning back to school. The first day of school is Monday, August 25, 2008. The school day begins at 7:55am.

TONIGHT-- Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 5pm is the Providence Creek Academy Meet & Greet where you can meet your new teachers before the school year starts. It begins at 5pm and ends at 7pm. Hope to see you all there!!

The seventh grade school supplies are:

2 – 1” Binders
1 – 2” Binder divided into 3 sections
4 Marble Composition Books
2 Pocket Folders
1 Folder or Divider with pockets for Binder
Pens, pencils, colored pencils, pencil case, highlighters and loose leaf paper (these will need to be replenished throughout the year)

Optional Items:
Scientific Calculator
1 Pencil Sharpener
1 Protractor
1 Three-hole punch that fits in a binder
3 Boxes of Tissues (classroom use)
2 Rolls of Paper Towels (classroom use)
Containers of wipes (classroom use)
2 Containers of Hand Sanitizer (classroom use)

An important thing to remember about this year is that you will need to carry all of your supplies in your backpack all day. The cubbies will only be used during class time to hold your backpack. Please only buy supplies that are needed at the time and keep all others at home until needed.

There is no school on Friday, August 29, 2008 and Monday, September 1, 2008 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Sports tryouts will begin on Wednesday, August 27,2008 so make sure you have your sports physical completed by that time. If you do not have your physical by this date, YOU WILL NOT be able to attend try outs. This is very important for your health and well being. You can find a copy of the sports physical form on the Providence Creek Academy website: http://www.providencecreekacademy.org/ and click on Parents Corner.. click on Sports Physical under the Nurse Imformation category.

If you have any questions throughout the year, please feel free to contact me via phone (302) 653-6276 ext. 129 or email nlewis@pca.k12.de.us.

I am looking forward to another great year at Providence Creek Academy!
